My Hydrangea's ~

This Hydrangea beauty sits on my front porch, and has been since a very dear friend gave it to me in the
mid 1990's.  Hydrangea's are one of my favorite flowers.  The flower heads are usually pink in color, I stuck a nail in the soil (a nail will change the acidity of the soil) and a beautiful lavender/bluish color blossomed as a result of that nail.

  2. Thank you Barbara...I have been wanting to do this for a very long time...Jasia and Vickie inspired me and it's really alot of fun. I have always had a love of "photos" and have lots of them!

I had started this project last year (Jan 2010),but most of my photos were of my grandchildren and I did not feel comfortable posting them on my blog...I am going to have to get creative and learn to use my camera, and it's a place for me to "share" photos for family to see too.

  6. Wow Gini, what a cool idea; a great way to showcase photos. I will be visiting here often 'cause nothing is better than a great photo to put a smile on my face. This one is beautiful, but I'm partial because hydrangeas are my favorite flowers. I didn't know about the nail trick; I'll have to try that with mine this Spring. My blooms are usually lavender to a dark purple, but seem to be lightening up over the years. I may have to join you and start a blog like this of my own! (wink) I really like the idea.
