~ 2008 ~
This ornament was another that mom (1933~2010) had hand carried from Germany in 2008. She brought me two of them and then she had several also. This Christmas dove has held a special spot on our tree ever since.

ReplyDeleteI cant wait each day for you to show us the next treasure your Mom shared with you. They are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Betty, mom just really had a way with decorating at Christmas but more so was the spirit of Christmas, it was in her heart and soul and it really showed. She has many more that I don't have as of yet. Hopefully by next Christmas I will and I will love sharing them. But for now, I feel Blessed to have some of mom's beautiful treasures here in my home.
ReplyDeleteThe ornament is not only beautiful, but significant in meaning. (peace)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Thank you so much, Gini! Before I even read your comment, I was going to comment that I am looking for an ornament very much like this; I am hoping World Market carries something along these lines. (Great minds must think alike!)
ReplyDeleteThank you A.Cain, yes, there are so many memories and ties to the heart. I'm so Blessed to have them. Glad you stopped by.
ReplyDeleteGreta, your so welcome! I think the World Market might be a great place to start. I'm going to do some checking, I know mom got these in Germany but we have a few places around here. If I find them, I will let you know. I'm glad you liked it, I thought of you when I put this one up on the tree!
ReplyDeleteLovely, charming, tender, beautiful, SIGHHHHHH.
