Mom's Christmas Tree Jewels ~ Memory Count Down ~ Day 18
ca ~ 1960
I love this silver teardrop ornament in Mom's (1933~2010) collection. I found only four of them and I believe mom purchased these in Germany . . . they are so pretty on the tree.
Thank you, Susan . . . I took numerous shots of this ornament and they kept coming out fuzzy . . . this was the only one that seemed somewhat clear. These are very pretty ornaments and I'm partial to silver or Mercury ornaments.
You are doing a great job with ALL the ornaments. I am really enjoying this series. This one is particularly pretty and love the others in the background.
Thank you, Carol and Greta . . . I have learned so much about mom's ornaments . . . doing this count down made me realize that I have a passion for Christmas ornaments and their history . . . I have always loved Christmas decorations and decorating but now in a different way. I love the silver teardrop ornament too, Greta and Carol . . . it has also become one of my very favorites.
Such a lovely, lovely shot!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous - I love the teardrop-shaped ornaments, but they are hard to find.
