Rain rain go away ~

 

This is Koda, laying by the glass sliding door and wishing he could go out and play . . . we are getting a bit of well needed rain the last few days and it's cutting into his backyard play time!

Signs of Spring ~

 

I can see signs of Spring in these brand new leaves on my Hydrangea plants. 

Johnny Jump-ups in the rain ~

These Johnny Jump-ups are enjoying the rain we have been having the last few days.  

Time for candles ~

Fall is my favorite season and I love having candles burning ~ rain has finally arrived and I'm happy it's here.

Stormy Labor Day ~

We all woke up to thunder and lighting today  . . . and then it started to rain. This is the first bit of rain we have had in a very long time and we need it badly. Our thoughts and prayers turn to those battling the fires in Texas, who are also in need of rain out there.

No rain here ~

Our local Fox 5 weather girl predicted that we were to get a very small amount of rain during the day today . . . we never did get any rain at all . . . and we sure could use it here. We did have these beautiful clouds over my home most of the day.

It's finally raining ~

We finally received a small amount of much needed rain today. It's supposed to get heavier and continue into tomorrow morning . . . I love this weather.

Hyacinth Bean Vine ~

This flower looks alot like snapdragons...it's a climbing Purple Hyacinth Bean Vine. It's been raining off and on so far today. The purple flower actually belongs to my neighbor but has climbed and made it's way over to my side of the fence...and I don't mind one bit.  When I returned from an errand this morning, I couldn't resist taking several shots of this sweet smelling, pretty, purple flower, moist from a recent rainfall.

Johnny Jump-ups or Heartsease after the rain ~

My Johnny Jump-ups or Heartsease (as I learned they are also called and as I lovingly like to refer to them now), loved the rain we had recently.  There is an abundance of these lovely little flowers growing in my backyard! 

I took this photo last week, I had forgotten about it...this photo along with many other photos of these sweet little flowers...was mixed in with photos from a family birthday dinner we had. I wanted to post it before I got to far away from the day it was taken.

Dried hydrangea's ~

An arrangement of hydrangea's I dried from my garden. Currently, we have high winds and pouring rain...not so great for going out and grabbing outdoor photos.

Stormy weather ~

It's dark and cloudy and pouring rain here. Weather girl is calling for five to six inches of rain in the next week. That's alot of rain for us here.
I took this photo as I was driving (not recommended!) to pick up my grandson from school. I love the cloud formations...I love this weather.
